Informational meeting for Sunday, December 12th ** Postponed

Brothers & Sisters,

We regret to inform you the planned informational meeting for Sunday, December 12th is being postponed.

Yesterday, December 7th, a stay was issued in Federal District court on Executive Order 14042: Covid Vaccination for Federal Contractors.

Verizon relied heavily on this Executive Order in formulation of the Vaccination Policy that they imposed on the Union associates.  Due to the stay issue there is now a large degree of uncertainty moving forward.

Currently, Verizon has informed the Union, they will honor the stay, and monitor the case for clarity.

However, they will continue to proceed with requiring submission of vaccination as described in their November 29th communication.

The component of the policy currently paused is the Leave/Separation portion of the plan.  Verizon has indicated if the stay is lifted quickly they plan on moving forward with their original policy.

The uncertainties come into play if the stay remains in place, or how quickly the case is decided in the courts which could continue to affect the Verizon Policy.

Due to the lack of clarity it would not be prudent to conduct an informational meeting at this time.

As new details become available we will share them with you.
